Fala chefe, tudo certo?

My name is João Bastos, and I’m a creative copywriter born in São Paulo, Brazil.

But currently in Dubai.

“What’s a Brazilian guy doing in the middle of the desert, you might be asking?”

There are some days that I ask myself the same question, because sometimes, all I wish for is a plate of feijoada* and a caipirinha.

Yeah, I love food.

My friends call me an experimentalist because there’s no dish that I would refuse, even if it is sand… with the right spices. I’m sure we can cook up a good farofa*, which goes perfectly with feijoada. (Have I already said that I love food?)

But honestly, I think I’m hungrier for something else… new places, new experiences, and work that moves people and shapes culture. As a creative writer, it’s almost impossible not to be driven by those things - it’s what keeps the soul ignited and the belly full.

But I know that it is quite impossible to achieve all those things alone; after all, we work with and for people. And that’s why I’m looking forward to working with the best chefs’ creatives in the business.
